' FELL INSTALLATION AND CPT INVESTIGATION REPORT <br /> 5400 and 5606 Pacific Avenue Stockton California CAO NO 5-00707 EAI Project No 1232 <br /> 1 <br /> . 1,2 Scope <br /> The scope of this investigation is outlined in the EAI report titled "Remediation Plan., Former <br /> Unocal Site, 5606 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California," dated July 20, 2001 On August 6, <br />' 2001, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB) <br /> approved the work with modification as follows <br /> ■ Advance two cone penetrometer test (CPT borings) (one on the former Unocal site and <br /> one on the former Wards site) to a minimum depth of 150 feet below grade surface <br /> (bgs) Obtain one ground water sample at a depth of approximately 100 feet bgs at <br /> each location <br /> ■ Install two monitoring wells on the Wards property to monitor intermediate and deep <br />' zone contamination (During installation of the deep well, the RWQCB determined, <br /> based upon local lithology, the intermediate well would provide very little useful <br /> information Therefore, at the direction of the RWQCB the intermediate well was not <br />' installed) <br /> ■ Install one air sparge well on the former Unocal site <br /> ■ Install two down gradient monitoring wells on the former Wards site <br /> The results of testing ground samples round water les collected from these four new wells was included <br /> p ze <br /> in the Thrid Quarter 2001 Monitoring Report for the Site (EAI 2001) These data, in <br /> conjunction with other information for the Site and surrounding area will be used to monitor <br /> remediation efforts at the site <br /> e <br /> HHM WORD 1232RO191 2 EN FIR ONMEN TA 1,AUDIT, INC <br />
