Third Quarter 2001 Ground Water Monitoring Report
CEeanu and Abatement Order NO 5-00 707 CAE Pro ert No 1232
4,5 Analytical Testing Results
No MTBE, TBA, D1PE, ETBE, TAME, or EDB above laboratory reporting limits were detected
' 1n any of the ground water samples
Similar to lower hydrocarbon concentrations were generally observed during this sampling event
' when compared to the prior quarters data The exception was well MW-3 which generally
indicated higher hydrocarbon concentrations (see Table 1)
Water elevations in wells MW-23S/MW-23D, MW-24S/MW-24D, and MW-25S/MW-25D
indicate ground water at the site flows from the shallow zone toward the deeper zone (see Table
2) Two new deeper zone wells MW-8D and MW-9 were installed during the current quarter
' The higher than anticipated hydrocarbon concentrations in these two wells may be the result of
the well installation process, > e , shallow zone water may have entered the deeper zone during
well installation This same reasoning may explain why hydrocarbon concentrations to wells
MW-23S and MW-23D have steadily decreased since these wells were installed
46 Future Activities
The next quarterly ground water monitoring for the site is scheduled for December 2001 A
report documenting results of the ground water monitoring will be submitted to the RWQCB by
Tanuary 15, 2002
' BHM 123280192 7 E A le
