r <br /> ENM. <br /> r - <br /> • Mr James Barton <br /> August 25, 2005 <br /> Page 3 <br /> rWell Development and Sampling <br /> Air sparge well AS-33 was developed by Blaine Tech Services, Inc of Sacramento, California, <br /> ron July 20, 2005 Copies of the groundwater sampling and development field sheets are <br /> included in Attachment F The wells were developed according to field methods and <br /> rprocedures outlined in Attachment D <br /> Waste Dlls osal <br /> rDrilling activities generated approximately 1 4 cubic yards of soil cuttings The cuttings were <br /> placed in six 55-gallon United Nations (UN)-approved drums and temporarily stored onsite The <br /> r samples collected in the saturated zone were composited by the lab and analyzed for total lead, <br /> TPHg, BTEX, EDB, 1,2-DCA, MTBE and the remaining oxygenates using previously described <br /> methods After receipt of laboratory results, the drums containing soil drill cuttings will be <br /> transported as non-hazardous waste to Forward Landfill in Manteca, California <br /> Drilling activities generated approximately 100 gallons of decontamination water The water <br /> was placed in two 55-gallon UN-approved drum and temporarily stored onsite The <br /> decontamination water will be transported as non-hazardous waste to a Unocal approved waste <br /> r facility during the third quarter of 2005 A copy of the laboratory analytical report is included in <br /> Attachment E <br /> Well Survey <br /> Air sparge well AS-33 will be surveyed by a California licensed land surveyor in accordance with <br /> State of California Assembly Bill A32886 after the well casing has been connected to the <br /> system remediation system piping <br /> rConclusions/Recommendations <br /> Concentrations of TPHg, BTEX, EDB, 1,2-DCA, MTBE and the remaining oxygenates were <br /> reported as not detected at or above the laboratory reporting limits in sod samples collected <br /> durl[ICJ-, this investigation The lateral and vertical extent of petroleum nyarocarpon constituents <br /> in soil and groundwater in units C and D east of the site appear to be delineated <br /> Air sparge well AS-33 was installed exclusively as an airsparge well and will not be included in <br /> par g <br /> the quarterly groundwater monitoring program AS-33 will be monitored with the other air <br /> sparge wells after it has been connected to the system <br /> J 4ProjectsW694015098-2931WorkinglReports15098 Well Installation Report AS-33 doe <br /> r0 Celebrating 35 Years of Excellence In Environmental Services <br />
