What can untrained or unequipped individuals do in response to any kind of spill? <br /> • Immediately contact the Spill Coordinator or their alternate. <br /> • Evaluate the situation to determine that it is safe. When achievable and safe to do so: <br /> o Secure the spill scene by isolating the spill from people, and <br /> o Respond defensively and stop the continued flow of oil out of the storage <br /> container. <br /> o Block spill pathways well in advance of the oil flow. <br /> What additional things can be done by the untrained if the spill event meets the definition <br /> of an Incidental spill and it is safe to do so? <br /> • Use spill kit to contain cleaned up spill material <br /> • Collect all waste generated from spill cleanup and disposed of them properly. Obtain <br /> copies of waste manifests.
