Food Express, Inc.— Lathrop, CA Periodic Testing of the Integrity of Aboveground Tanks 40 CFR 1.12.8(c)(6) The systems are inspected monthly for leaks, stains and spills of#2 Diesel as required by the SPCC Plan and CFR 40 112.7. Industry Standards testing was performed by a Certified SP001 Inspector. Inspections are performed by trained staff and done to Industry Standards.The#2 Diesel fuel tank is physically checked monthly for water and microbial infections by sticking the tank with a cloth tip on the end of their measurement stick. The monthly inspections are recorded on page 33. Leakage from Internal Heating Coils 40 CFR 112.8(c)(7) There are no internal heating coils within this system. The applicable requirements of 40 CFR 112.8(c)(7) do not apply to this facility or SPCC Plan. Engineer or Update Containers to Avoid Discharge 40 CFR 11.2.8(c)(8) FXI uses a visual tank gauge system consisting of a tank gauge that indicates the tank's volume in feet and inches. When the driver arrives on site and prior to unloading any oil product, they will verify tank space and insure that the oil product to be delivered will fit. The #2 Diesel fuel storage tanks are equipped with a monitoring port system. If the driver is alerted of danger or overfill during delivery, the driver will cease all loading and secure the system. Observe Effluent Discharge 40 CFR 112.8(c)(9) FXI does not employ a surface water effluent or water separation treatment system at this site. The requirements in 40 CRR 112.8(c)(9)are not applicable. Promptly Address Visible Discharge 40 CFR 112.8(c)(10) This is addressed within this Plan at 40 CFR 112.7(e).
