2.2.8 Use of Energy or Natural Resources <br /> No significant amounts of energy or natural resources will <br /> be used. See Sections 2.13 and 2.2.3 of Attachment No. 1. <br /> Biomass fuel will be produced by the facility. <br /> 2.2.9 Traffic Congestion <br /> Truck and other vehicular traffic will be incurred on Austin <br /> Road. See Section 2.3.1 of Attachment No. 1. <br /> 3.0 Additional Information Concerning Environmental Effects <br /> The preceding section presented information concerning questions appearing <br /> on the Minor Subdivision and Use Permit Forms. The following sections <br /> summarize additional information relative to the concerns of the public and <br /> agencies interested in the project. This information is included to <br /> facilitate the initial study of environmental effects required to be made <br /> by the County as Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality ACt. <br /> 3.1 Land Use <br /> Employment that will be generated by project, while economically <br /> beneficial, is not large enough to create any demand for additional <br /> housing. Jobs created will go to persons already residing and <br /> occupying housing in the Stockton area. Approximately 30 direct jobs <br /> will be created by the facility. <br /> 3.2 Transportation <br /> The project will not affect access to other areas near the site, <br /> Interfere with pedestrian or bicycle movement, or adversely affect <br /> public transportation. <br /> There will be increased truck traffic on Austin Road. This issue is <br /> expected to receive further analysis. <br /> 3.3 Public Services <br /> The facility will not result in additional demands for public <br /> services other than fire protection. There will be an onsite fire <br /> protection system. In addition, the project will provide specialized <br /> training for site employees and fire district personnel . <br /> 3.4 Hazards/Nuisances <br /> The facility will not create a hazard or a nuisance. - Odors will be <br /> controlled and there will be much improved accounting for and <br /> controlled disposal of a hazardous waste - used motor oil . <br /> 6 <br />
