G & L BROCK CONSTRUCTION CO. , INC .
CONTRACTOR'S LIC. # A521072
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (209) 931-3626
July 18,2000
Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
304 E.Weber Ave.,Third Floor
Stockton, Ca 95202
Attn: Letitia Briggs
RE: Inspection 6/9/00
Dear Ms.Briggs,
Per our phone conversation July 13,I am sending you what I have been able to gather regarding your
inspection of my company yard on 6/9/00. In regards to your inspection,I can respond as follows:
Item#10—Samples of the baghouse dust, media blast dust and blast-booth filters were taken by you and
Ms.Youngblood on the day of inspection. I have not determined if it is a hazardous waste. I
have included a MSDS for the media blast. We will dispose of this material according to the
hazardous waste laws and regulations. I would also like to know what you determined from the
samples.
Item#11—All spills were cleaned up and disposed of properly according to hazardous waste laws and
regulations.
Item#18—All drums which have been considered hazardous waste have been moved to one area in the
yard where there is easy accessibility.
Item#19—Used oil was picked up 2/15/00 and 6/29/00. There is a minimum amount that the haulers will
pick up and we do not generate that much. We will in the future have the waste picked up
within the 90 day limit. I have attached copies of invoices showing that we have had waste oil
picked up 12/2/99,2/15/00 and 6/29/00. Used oil filters were last picked up on 3/6/00.
Antifreeze was last picked up on 12/2/99.
Item#20—All drums have been properly labeled. All sources that I checked with had to order the labels
and they would not be in by the 6/16/00 deadline. So,I made my own so that the drums could
be labeled. I have included a sample.
Item#31—We have always returned spent lead acid batteries to Nor-Cal Batteries. I have included the
latest receipt and will continue to maintain receipts.
Item#32—Copies of receipts for used oil are included.
Item#33—Copies of receipts for used oil filters are included.
Item#45—I am still working on the contingency plan. Will forward as soon as I can per my phone
conversation on 7/13/00.
G & L BROCK CONSTRUCTION CO., INC.
4145 CALLOWAY CT.
STOCKTON, CA 95215
