The unit in quatiaa is currt:atly owned by Weyerhauser and
has been used to exact and treat soil vapor at their site in Rohme park. They art asking
$25,000,which I believe is a realistic and reasonable price based on market availability.
It is available essentially immediately. Thgc unit has bean operated by cotuultat =for
Weyerhaum and the project has not been funded by SB2004 reunburaerncats. The seller
has agreed to give us the right of first refusal,so we have no indications that it will be
sold out from.1 us.
The site groundwater was last sampled in June, 1996. At that time, conwnttatioas
in orift locations were essentialty similar to previous reports. Offsite showed
corcenwWaxis at the high end of the range of previous analysts(MW3)or*piihcantly
higher than previous results(MWZ). MW2 had genrally been less thea detection limits,
but had trace xykn ne in March and now has traces of bmlzene, toluene, ethylbenzenc, and
xylene. These results and the significant copeentrations in site groundwater indicate that
the levels prior to initiation of vapor extraction were not decreasing and that the plume
was s"to spend laterally;each of these factors points to the need for active
remediation.
3560 BustNm DaivE,Svrm 120 • SACRAMENTO,CA 95820 • (916) 737.9294 9 FAX(916) 737.9198
