Diablo Avenue, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Turner:
We have reviewed our files and made several inqui-
ries in an attempt to provide you with the additional infor-
mation you requested in your letter dated April 30, 1991
concerning the site currently owned and operated by Chapin
Bros. , Inc. and located at 1766 Mt. Diablo Avenue, Stockton,
California.
Response to Question 1: Provide a copy of the
Roger Foott Associates, Inc. report.
A copy of this report is enclosed.
Response to Question 2 : (a) Names and addresses
of individuals involved in the spill incident; and (b)
documentation of Shell 's reimbursement of lost gasoline.
a. Considering that the tank leak occurred ap-
proximately 28 years ago, it should be understandable why
our clients cannot remember the exact dates and names of the
Shell Oil Company ("Shell") employees involved other than
those persons mentioned below or in my April 24 , 1991 let-
ter. Moreover, since this incident involved a Shell station
and Shell employees, Shell should have this information in
its own files.
