(AGEI) on your behalf. In
the WP, AGEI proposes to conduct a 3- to 5-day dual phase extraction pilot test
utilizing extraction well EW-4 to extract hydrocarbon vapor and groundwater.
During the field test, groundwater, extracted groundwater and extracted vapor
samples will be collected for laboratory analysis to evaluate the technology
effectiveness on your site. The EHD approves the proposed scope of work as
necessary and adequate [H&S 25296.10 (c)(3)], although the EHD is concerned
that much of the screened interval of EW-4 is in coarse-grained soil and may
yield more water than is expected. Initiate the pilot test within sixty days of date
of this letter and submit a report of findings to this office within sixty days of
completion of the field test.
Questions and/or comments may be directed to Nuel Henderson at
(209) 468-3436.
Nuel C.
