CHAPIN BROS . ,
Properties andAgriculture, Since 1940
1203 N. PE" Na
S T H
837 Shaw Rd.
Stockton, Ca. 95215
Subject: Proposal for Operation and Maintenance of Ground Water.
Pump &Treat Remediation System and Performance of Quarterly Ground
Ground Water Monitoring
Chapin Bros. Inc. 1766 Monte Diablo, Stockton, Ca.
Your proposal was received December 11, 2004. As previously expressed we are of the
opinion this process is flawed and to continue with the pump &treat, monitoring, and
cost of discharge fee paid to the City of Stockton is not a reasonable request. Further the
request by SJCEHD to include the continuing sampling of all seventeen wells is of
concern.
We are prepared to sign the amended agreement that provides a ninety day period instead
of six months and if necessary we are willing to extend this time period to comply with
SJCEHD in accordance with the letter dated 04 October 2004.
To complete this process we are asking you submit a form letter of authorization that we
may sign and return. If this request is deemed unaecessaly you may accept this leder as
authorization to begin work on the project without a receipt of authorization to proceed
and deposit.
Respectively;
Russell F.
