This <br /> equipment was not complete,parts missing etc, causing many hours of non-cperational <br /> time and expense. <br /> March 28, 1997 In accordance with my request AGE conducted a review <br /> of the soil vapor extraction (SVE)network an in-situ air sparing (IAS) network installed <br /> at this site The review was conducted to determine if a need for additional wells and <br /> networking was expected also including the soil beneath the building. <br /> March 28, 1997 we continued to receive delinquent notices £-om the office cf S. J. <br /> Public Health Services. These charges was be reversed in 1992, Only one tank fee was <br /> reversed leaving a balance of$978.26. Many attempts to correct this over-billing failed. <br /> We referred'.his matter to Sen. Patrick Johnson, and Mr. Rick Aguilem assistant to <br /> supervisor Gutierrez. Both parties referred this complaint to Terry Dermody, S.T. County <br /> Counsel.Results-the County stopped billing <br /> October 29.A.G.E provided a status update on the Soil Vapor Extraction/Air <br /> Sparging Operation noting repairs to the_KLt B,—,-k sc ice and maintenance Cidlects,the <br /> fragilitias of the SVE unit have incroewupp <br /> C Sort time required although the a`'stem <br /> through October 1997 operated with less than twelve (12) hours of non-operational <br /> time. A total of 546 lbs. or 87 gallons of hydrocarbons as gasolina were removed by the <br /> SVE unit. Also noting the rise in ground water table at this site Has reduced the <br /> effectiveness of the soil vapor extraction system.Noting furher that the unit has <br /> currently not operated witb a stable status. <br /> December 27, 1997 Tank Fund provided Pre-Approval for Scil Vapor Extraction <br /> upgrade <br /> April 28, 1998 Discussion/Conclusions AGE quarterly report <br /> • The ground water flow has returned to a westerlyflow direction over last <br /> quarter. <br /> • The ground water monitoring well slotted intervals have a reduced <br /> effectiveness to characterize the dissolved-phase hydrocarbons plume.
