A proposal for further assessment, <br /> including a groundwater investigation, should be submitted to <br /> this office by May 9, 1990. The proposal should also address the <br /> following: <br /> A. There are no soil clean-up levels. Any residual <br /> contaminates left in place should be supported with <br /> groundwater monitoring data. <br /> B. Remedial options for disposal of the stockpiled soils. <br /> C. A minimum of three monitoring wells should be used to <br /> define gradiency and the plume of contamination. One well <br /> should be within ten feet of the tank in the verified down <br /> gradient direction. <br /> D. Construction well logs were not submitted within the <br /> report. The construction of the well and the stratigraphy <br /> of the site are essential to the investigation and review. <br /> Submit construction logs showing screened intervals. <br /> E. Methodology for defining the extent of soil and <br /> groundwater contamination, ie: <br /> 1. Lithology and cross sections based on boreholes, <br /> trenches, and other supporting information, and <br /> 2 . Depth to groundwater <br /> 3 .
