SWTH <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION <br />' INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 <br />' On behalf of KOK Realty, Smith Technology Corporation conducted a subsurface site investigation <br /> to define the extent of residual soil contamination at the site This work was conducted in <br /> response to correspondence from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental <br /> Health Division (PHS/EHD) correspondence dated July 10, 1996 The site is located at 2403 <br />' West Navy Drive in Stockton, California (Figure 1) This report summarizes the details of field <br /> procedures used during this investigation, and presents the soil and groundwater analytical data <br />' compiled for the site <br />' BACKGROUND <br /> Site Location <br /> The project site is located at 2403 West Navy Drive, in Stockton, California The site location is <br /> shown on Figure 1 The site is located in a commercial/industrial area <br />' Previous Work <br />' The site was the location of one underground storage tank In response to a PHS/EHD request <br /> for a subsurface investigation, RESNA Industries Inc (now Smith Environmental) was engaged <br />' by the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery to assess the nature and extent of soil and <br /> groundwater contamination at the site <br />' In early 1992, a RESNA field geologist observed the drilling of three soil borings (MW1, MW2, <br /> and MW3) at the site to characterize subsurface conditions Groundwater was encountered at a <br /> depth of approximately 15 to 16 feet below ground surface (bgs) The borings were advanced to <br /> • w 1943341reportslswntyrpt.doc j <br /> 1260 Graphics Drive Modesto,CA 95351-1502 (209)579-2221 Fax(209)579-2225 <br />' Engineering Consulting • Remediatlon Construction <br />
