I1^+' TALTff <br /> SMTH <br /> ,, + <br /> - , r a fl, I1 <br /> November 13, 1995 <br /> 94334 <br /> Ms Mary Meays <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject Third Quarter 1995 Groundwater Monitoring for KOK Realty, 2403 W Navy <br /> Drive, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Meays <br /> This letter report summarizes field work completed by Smith Environmental Technologies <br /> Corporation (Smith Environmental) at 2403 W Navy Drive, Stockton, California during the <br />. third quarter of 1995 The site location is shown on Figure 1 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site was the location of one underground storage tank In response to a San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) request for a <br /> subsurface investigation, RESNA Industries, Inc (RESNA) was engaged by the law firm of <br /> McDermott, Will & Emery to assess the nature and extent of soil and groundwater <br /> contamination at the site <br /> In early 1992 a RESNA field geologist observed the drilling of three soil borings (MW1, <br /> MW2, and MW3) at the site to characterize subsurface conditions Groundwater was <br /> encountered at a depth of approximately 15-16 feet below ground surface The borings were <br /> advanced to a depth of approximately 30 feet below grade and subsequently converted to <br /> groundwater monitoring wells <br /> Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from the three borings determined that petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon constituents were detected in the soil within 4-5 feet of the static water levels at <br /> the site Laboratory analysis of groundwater samples collected from the wells subsequent to <br /> development indicated that gasoline constituents were present above laboratory method <br /> detection limits in the groundwater samples collected from each site monitoring well Initial <br /> 1f0 'QUARTLY%)QR 1995 DOC <br /> 1260 Graphics Drive Modesto, CA 95351-1502 (209)579-2221 Fax(209)579-2225 <br /> Engineering Consulting Remedrotion Construction <br />
