' Working To Restore Nature
I
i
SUMMARY REPORT
JULY 1994 INVESTIGATION
2403 WEST NAVY DRIVE
' STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
' 1.0 INTRODUCTION
This report summarizes field work completed by RESNA Industries Inc. (RESNA) at 2403
West Navy Drive, Stockton, California (site) during July 1994 The investigation consisted of
drilling four soil borings that were converted to groundwater monitoring wells The site
' vicinity map is shown on Plate 1
The investigation indicated that dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons in the groundwater beneath
` the are limited to a localized area in the vicinity of monitoring wells MW 1 and MW2.
Groundwater monitoring wells installed around the perimeter of the site (MW3, MW4, MW5,
' MW6, MW') contained no gasoline hydrocarbons above the laboratory detection limits
' 2.0 BACKGROUND
The site was the location of one underground storage tank. In response to a San Joaquin
' County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) request for a
subsurface investigation, RESNA was engaged by the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery
' to assess the nature and extent of soil and groundwater contamination at the site.
In February 1992, three soil borings (MW 1, MW2, and MW3) were drilled at the site by
' RESNA to characterize subsurface conditions. Groundwater was encountered at a depth of
approximately 15-16 feet below ground surface The borings were advanced to a depth of
' approximately 30 feet below grade and subsequently converted to groundwater monitoring
wells
1
I300411MIORMS11-0894 FNL
