First Quarter 1993 Activity Report <br /> KOK Realty (Project No W0596 02) <br /> Page 3 <br /> pending proper disposal Currently 7 drums of purge water are stored temporarily on site near <br /> MW 1 A dedicated disposable bailer was used to collect each water sample Well purge logs <br /> are included in Attachment 1 <br /> LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> Collected groundwater samples were placed on ice and transported under chain-of-custody <br /> protocol to state-certified RESNA Environmental Laboratories in Fremont, California Samples <br /> were analyzed for BTEX and TPHG by EPA methods 8020 and modified 8015, respectively <br /> Elevated petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected in monitoring wells MW 1, MW2 and <br /> MW3 These results are consistent with the analysis of groundwater samples collected in <br /> previous sampling rounds Analytical results for groundwater are summarized in Table 2 <br /> Laboratory data sheets are included as Attachment 2 <br /> OTHER SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Facility Well Destruction <br /> On February 2, 1993, Delta Pump excavated the facility well's overlying concrete pad and <br /> associated fill to a depth of approximately 3 feet The well was then destroyed under permit <br /> from PHS/EHD by pressure grouting and completed to surface grade with poured concrete <br /> Water produced during well destruction was stored on-site in an above ground portable tank <br /> A sample collected from the water produced during well destruction contained low levels of <br /> gasoline constituents Results of the sample (BT) are presented in Table 2 <br /> ANTICIPATED ACTIVITIES <br /> The next groundwater monitoring event at the site will be conducted in May 1993 Field <br /> activities will include measuring fluid level elevations in site monitoring wells, sampling and <br /> analysis, and free product removal Fluid levels will be measured with an oil/water interface <br /> probe capable of measuring to an accuracy of 0 01 feet Free product will be contained on-site <br /> pending arrangement for proper disposal <br /> Monthly sounding of fluid levels in site monitoring wells will be initiated in May 1993 <br /> Monthly soundings will continue through August 1993, when groundwater gradient information <br /> will be evaluated and recommendations presented, if appropriate In addition, RESNA will work <br /> 1QMR1993 FNL <br />
