sA� <br /> } <br /> Working 7o Restore Nature , <br /> 1710 Main a Street <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 <br /> Phone (209) 838-3507 <br /> FAX (209) 838-3509 February 4, 1993 <br /> 4 ! <br /> Ms Mary Meays <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services F E B 4 2 <br /> Environmental Health Division ENVIR{; -,LTH <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE Quarterly Monitoring Report, October through December 1992, and Request for <br /> Site Closure, Stockton Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, 2500 W Navy <br /> Drive, Stockton, California, Site Code 1203 <br /> Dear Ms Meays <br /> This letter report summarizes groundwater monitoring activities at the above referenced site <br /> (Figure 1) during the fourth quarter of 1992 These activities included groundwater monitoring <br /> and sampling of site wells In addition, RESNA requests the site be reconsidered for case <br /> closure <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The subject site is located at 2500 W Navy Drive, Stockton, California (Figure 1) The <br /> property is occupied by the City of Stockton Regional Wastewater Control Plant The site <br /> previously had an underground fuel storage tank (UST) to service facility vehicles and <br /> equipment <br /> The 5,000 gallon diesel tank was removed from this facility in August 1987 The location of <br /> the former tank is shown on Figure 2 At the time of the tank removal, free petroleum product <br /> was noted floating on groundwater within the tank pit Based upon the presence of free product <br /> and the initial sample results of 11 parts per million total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel <br /> (TPHD) in soils excavated from the tank pits, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) required an investigation to assess the extent of <br /> contamination <br /> 4QR-1992 FNL <br />
