NZOMACL Working to Restore Nature 1710 Main Street Escalon,CA 95320 �II � Phone (209)838-3507 �3 FAX (249)838-3509 MAY 0 0 1992 May 5, 1992 EIWIRONMENTAL HEALTH PERM USERViCES Ms Mary Meays San Joaquin County Public Health Services P O Box 2009 Stockton, CA 95201 -Prk-s#- RE• Quarterly Monitoring Report, Site Code 1203, Stockton Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, 2500 W Navy Drive, Stockton, California Dear Ms. Meays This letter report summarizes groundwater monitoring activities at the above referenced site (Figure 1) during the first quarter of 1992 These activities included monitoring groundwater levels and the sampling of site wells for dissolved hydrocarbons and coliform bacteria Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling On March 17, 1992, RESNA Industries (RESNA) personnel conducted groundwater monitoring and sampling from monitoring wells MW1, MW2, and MW3. Well MW4 could not be located and is presumed to have been inadvertently paved over during recent resurfacing activities Static groundwater elevations were measured prior to purging and sampling any well on site Groundwater flows northeast with a gradient of 0.013 ft/ft, or approximately 70 ft/mile (Figure 2) Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1 Groundwater samples were collected from wells MWI, MW2, and MW3 on March 17, 1992 Prior to sample collection, each well was purged of a minimum of 50 gallons of water to collect representative groundwater samples Purged water was contained in 55 gallon drums (DOT H), labelled, and stored on site. Groundwater samples were collected after physical parameters (pH, temperature, and conductivity) were monitored and had stabilized. Samples were collected using a disposable bailer with a bottom-emptying device Field purge logs are presented in Attachment 1. WWLRO592 TJL
