Formal Closure Request,Site Code 1203
Stockton Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility
2500 W. Navy Drive,Stockton,CA
October 6, 1992
Page 2
addition, the surface above and surrounding this area is covered by impermeable asphalt and is
graded to,prevent ponding water. -This greatly limits infiltration of precipitation.
Based upon the limited areal extent of residual diesel hydrocarbons in tight soils, the low level
of impaction, and the absence of contaminants in groundwater, residual hydrocarbons in the soil
do.not appear to constitute a .threat to public health or the waters of-the state.
RESNA, on. behalf of the City of Stockton;.requests case closure. It is the intention of the City
to discontinue monitoring and sampling at .the site, and._ to apply for monitoring well
abandonment. The City anticipates PHS/EHD written concurrence for the closure of this site.
If you have any questions or comments please contact John Lane at your earliest possible
convenience.
Respectfully,
RESNA Industries Inc.
JUin P. Lane
Project Geologist
Gregory P.
