/`i C�aytori <br /> ��+' GROUP SE0.VIG E5 <br /> if the wells should be removed If the wells are to be removed, the procedures outlined in <br /> the following section will be followed <br /> 6.0 WELL ABANDONMENT <br /> After the completion of the monitoring program, the wells will be abandoned in <br /> accordance with the procedures specified in California Well Standards (California <br /> Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-90, January 1990) and applicable local <br /> regulations <br /> Each of the wells will be abandoned by dulling out the casing and all well materials <br /> After removing the well materials, the borehole will be grouted to surface using a tremae <br /> pipe to fill the bonng from the bottom to the top, while removing the augers, to avoid <br /> bridging The surface seal, if present, will be restored <br /> The materials removed during well abandonment operations will be contamenzed and <br /> properly managed Final disposition of all materials will be documented in the reports <br /> discussed in the following section <br /> 7.0 REPORTING <br /> A brief quarterly report will be prepared for submittal to the PHD/EHD that presents the <br /> procedures used and results obtained for each monitonng event This report will be <br /> reviewed, signed, and stamped by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 8.0 SCHEDULE <br /> The Learner Company is prepared to complete the scope of work described in this <br /> document upon agency approval Field activities will be scheduled as soon as possible <br /> following approval based on drilling company availability and onsite activities Well <br /> installation is proposed for December 2002 <br /> The first quarterly sampling event will take place within two weeks of well installation <br /> and will proceed on a quarterly basis thereafter The reports will be submitted by the end <br /> of the month following sample collection For example, drilling is proposed to take place <br /> in December 2002, sampling will take place in late December 2002, and the first <br /> quarterly report will be submitted by January 31, 2002 Subsequent sampling events <br /> would be conducted in March 2003, June 2003, and September 2003 Reports for these <br /> sampling events would be submitted by April 30, 2003, July 31, 2003, and October 31, <br /> 2003 <br /> 5 <br /> 5%Proj1P0226312263 wulkphn_0ct02 doE <br />
