' k%J KL EINFELDER
TPH extractable as diesel was reported in groundwater samples collected from all 13 Geoprobe
locations The highest concentrations of extractable hydrocarbons ranging from 5 3 to 330 mg/L
' were reported in samples from GP-1, -2, -5, -9 and —11 and appear to represent groundwater
impacts associated with the former underground storage tanks These values exceed the SNARL
diesel of 100 ug/L or 0 1 mg/L (for exposure of 10 days or less) based on taste and threshold
' (USEPA) No lifetime exposure advisory has been developed at this time, however, lifetime
health advisories are normally at least ten fold lower than the 10-day advisories Therefore, a
concentration of 10 ug/L or 10 mg/L would be a reasonable estimate of a lifetime health
protective level for diesel Eight of the 13 samples contained concentrations of TPH extractable
below 1 mg/L(Plate 3), and may represent low-level background concentration in the area
' This report is subject to the "Limitations" presented in Chapter 7 of this report Any other party
(other than The Learner Company or regulatory agencies having enforcement jurisdiction for this
' site) who would like to use this report shall notify Kleinfelder, Inc of such intended use by
executing the "Application for Authorization to Use" contained in Appendix F
1
' 20-2322-05 E01/201 1R061 Page 12 of 14
Copyright 2001,Klemfelder,Inc January 12,2001
