After the removal
of free product from the excavation, the diesel impacted soil which is present in the
sidewalls will be excavated and placed in the stockpile north of the existing excavation.
The existing excavation is 16 feet wide x 14 feet deep x 45 feet long for a total volume
of 375 cubic yards of diesel impacted sod. Based on the sample data, It is estimated
that the final excavation will be 20 feet wide x 14 feet deep x 55 feet long for a total
volume of 571 cubic yards of diesel Impacted soil.
After removal of the diesel impacted soil and free product from the tank excavation,
' the tank excavation will be backfilled with clean imported pea gravel or equivaleaL
The diesel Impacted soil will be reused as dust suppression road base material in the
'• areas which are traffic designated areas within the property boundaries of The Learner
Company.
