The property owner, Gloria Terry,
is in the process of connecting to the City's sewer line, however, due to the length of time needed to
properly secure all plans and permits and for a contractor to complete the connection, Neighborhood
Services will agree to a temporary abatement of the problem.
The installation of a temporary septic tank/leach field, if completed before May 30, 2003, will be allowed in
lieu of vacating the tenants residing in the units for a time period not to exceed six months (November 30,
2003). All work that will be required to be completed during these six months has been established as:
1) Within 3 months, an engineer's plans will be submitted to the City of Stockton Planning
Department for the connection of these two parcels to the City of Stockton sewage system.
2) Within 2 months after the engineer's plans has been submitted, the City of Stockton Planning
Department will review the plans and either approve or request any changes to these plans.
3) Within 1 month, all required work will be completed by a contractor. All work will then need to be
approved by all appropriate departments.
4) After all work has been approved, all existing septic systems on both parcels need to be
destructed and approved by all appropriate agencies.
The City of Stockton Public Works Department has agreed to this timeline. Neighborhood Services will
continue to monitor these properties for progress. If the property owner has not completed the connection
to the City of Stockton sewer line within six months, Neighborhood Services will precede with any
appropriate code enforcement actions. t n
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Lane Avilla, Code Enforcement Officer it "
at(209) 937-8420.
STEVEN J PINKERTON, DIRECTOR
HOUSIIj G & REDEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
-tet
RON GIRARD
PROGRAM MANAGER II
RG/LA
::ODMAIGR PWISEICOS.HRD.HRD_Library:47382
Stockton
blftd
Aflca C"
1999
