Lowell Ave. 1 Ft ���'•�-iT,�,t�r,11 <br />Tracy, CA 95376 <br />Dear Bob, <br />In addressing the issues you presented to our school regarding the Hazardous Waste Program Inspection Report, <br />here are the resolutions we are making. <br />• 8 Managed a hazardous waste without an EPA number <br />Resolution: An application for an EPA number was filled out and submitted to you on Jan. 4th, <br />2010. <br />• 52 Emergency Contingency Plan <br />Resolution: Denise Rowe, 7' & 8`s grade Science Teacher is our Emergency Coordinator and <br />will work with the principal and school secretary to coordinate emergency response measures in <br />working with hazardous wastes. Site has requested training for the Science staff by Bob Corsaro <br />to be done as soon as possible. Information regarding the contact personnel has been posted in <br />science classrooms. See Appendix I <br />• 60 Hazardous waste disposal records <br />Resolution: A binder has been established and is maintained in the school office to record <br />materials being disposed, the date and signature of the personnel at the disposal facility. <br />• 79 Storage and Disposal of used fluorescent bulbs <br />Resolution: A container for storing used fluorescent bulbs is being provided this week and will be <br />in place and ready for use immediately. Custodial staff have been given direction in regards to it's <br />use and location. <br />• 83 Waste fluorescent bulbs unlabeled in storage areas <br />Resolution: Signage has been prepared for the Universal Waste storage container for fluorescent <br />bulbs and the school secretary has prepared a container and signage for the collection of batteries <br />and electronic devices. The school custodian has done the same for the collection of aerosol cans. <br />• 84 Waste fluorescent bulbs not dated <br />Resolution: This is covered in the resolution to #60 as well as item #83. <br />Our day custodian will deliver the waste fluorescent bulbs from our campus on a regular <br />(monthly) basis. <br />• 85 Universal Waste disposal records <br />Resolution: A binder has been established and is maintained in the school's office to record the <br />date and signature of the personnel at the disposal facility. <br />
