All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed no safety hook on site and safety ring is deteriorating. Provide a new safety ring and safety <br /> hook, ready to use and accessible in case of emergencies. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided,maintained,readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The free chlorine in the pool is currently measured at 11.6 ppm.Adjust and maintain free chlorine for the <br /> pool within the range of 2.0-10.0 ppm. Pool closure until adjustment can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pH is currently measured at/7.0 or below.Adjust and maintain pH inside of pool between 7.2-7.8. <br /> Immediate pool closure until adjustment to pH can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8.(CCR 65530) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The safety signs provided for the pool area are faded and do not contain safety information such as; <br /> facility address,emergency number, pool/spa capacity or hours of operation.Correct violation immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 55535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high,unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate,or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users,unless otherwise specified.
