Case Narrative
Client: GHD Services Inc. TestAmerica Job ID: 720-91968-1
Project/Site: UPRR-Tracy Substation
Job ID: 720-91968-1
Laboratory: TestAmerica Pleasanton
,
Narrative
Job Narrative
720-91968-1
Comments
No additional comments.
Receipt
The sample was received on 3/16/2019 9:20 AM; the sample arrived in good condition, properly preserved and, where required, on ice.
The temperature of the cooler at receipt was 2.0°C.
GC/MS VOA
Method(s)8260B:The matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate(MS/MSD)recoveries and precision for preparation batch 720-262251 and
analytical batch 720-262202 were outside control limits. Sample matrix interference and/or non-homogeneity are suspected because the
associated laboratory control sample/laboratory sample control duplicate(LCS/LCSD)precision was within acceptance limits.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
GC Semi VOA
Method(s)8015B:The following samples required a dilution due to the nature of the sample matrix: (720-91934-A-5-H MS)and
(720-91934-A-5-1 MSD). Because of this dilution, the surrogate spike concentration in the sample was reduced to a level where the
recovery calculation does not provide useful information. The MS/MSD were performed on a sample from another job.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
Metals
Method(s)6010B:The matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate(MS/MSD)recoveries and precision for preparation batch 720-262072 and
analytical batch 720-262236 were outside control limits. Sample matrix interference and/or non-homogeneity are suspected because the
associated laboratory control sample (LCS)recoveries was within acceptance limits.
Method(s)6010B:The post digestion spike% recovery for Barium-136%, Chromium-129%&Vanadium-131%associated with batch
720-262236 was outside of control limits. The following sample is impacted: (720-91932-A-1-DPDS).
Method(s)6010B:The serial dilution performed for the following sample associated with batch 720-262236 was outside control limits for
Cobalt-17%,Chromium-13%, Nickel-14%&Vanadium-11%: (720-91932-A-1-DSD)
Method(s)6010B:The following sample was diluted due to the abundance of non-target analytes:WR#19721 (720-91968-1). Elevated
reporting limits(RLs)are provided.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
Organic Prep
No analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described in the Definitions/Glossary page.
TestAmerica Pleasanton
Page 4 of 30 3/20/2019
