Since the bagged batteries did not have a UPC, the <br />store manager scanned the item from the store floor, and the item scanned as Corrosive Base HW (“Yellow Bin”). The store manager later provided a <br />document titled “Specific Wastes,” which indicates loose batteries are to have non-conductive electrical tape over both terminals, sealed in a chemical <br />resistant bag, and placed in the FE blue/toxic tote. The store manager stated the loose batteries are to be placed in the Toxic HW tote and batteries <br />contained in the original packaging are to be placed in the Corrosive HW tote. <br /> <br />
