11 January 2002 AGE-NC Project No 99-0592 ' Page 3 of 4 ,• ti of standing water in the well- Depth to ground water was measured between 61 76 feet and 62 03 ' feet bsg in wells MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 on 09 November 2001 Ground water elevations at the site ranged from 35 35 feet below msl in well MW-2 to 35 38 feet below msl to well MW-4 Ground ' water elevation data are presented on Table 1 Groundwater flow direction was inferred to be toward ' the east northeast at a very low'gradient of approximately 0 0003 ft/ft Figure 3 depicts the contours' for November 2001 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES Monitonng well MW-1 was not sampled this quarter due to the lack of standing water in the well None of the target analytes were detected in samples collected from monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 and the active domestic well DW-1 '1,2-DCA was detected in the sample collected from ' MW-4 at a concentration-of 1 5 microgram per liter(µg/1) Analytical results for the ground water samples for the November 2001 monitoring event are ' summanzed on Tables 3 and 4 The laboratory report(MAI Lab IDs 83458 through 83461),QA/QC and chain-of-custody are included,m Appendix B pp 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS Based on the findings from this investigation, AGE concludes ' Ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing toward the east northeast at an average gradient of 0 003 Rift, although at such a low gradient small measurement errors can significantly affect the inferred flow direction ' 1,2-DCA was detected in the sample collected from MW-4 at a concentration of 1 5 µg/1 None of the target analytes were detected in samples collected from MW-2, MW-3 and ' DW-1 ' 5 0. RECOMMENDATIONS AGE recommends continued quarterly monitoring of ground water monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2, ' MW-3 and MW-4 and the on-site domestic well DW-1 The next monitoring event is scheduled for March 2002 Ir , Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
