In regard to a tank leak, our written procedure is to immediately have a pressure tank test using the korner EZY-check procedure. Confirmation of a leak would then have the tank vacuumed completely and triple washed. We would then have the tank replaced if there was a confirmed leak. Our drain oil barrels are 30 gal. capacity. When they are full, a quick connect with a hose gravity drains the oil into the underground tank. If the tank was full, the oil would not drain, so the chance of an overfill is next to impossible. If the drain barrel overflows on to the floor while draining oil, we keep 10-50 Ib. bags of oil absorbent at each of our locations to contain any spillage. All our waste would then be picked up by California oil recyclers. EPA Reg. #/CAD 980695761. An annual pressure tank test is performed on each of our locations by Toxcomp Associates of Fullerton, Co, using the Horner EZY check procedure. A copy of the test results, are maintained and posted at each location.
