Isolating the tank. <br />2. Gas freeing the tank. <br />3. Entering the tank. <br />4. Cleaning and sandblasting the tank. <br />5. Application of GA27P. <br />6. Sealing the tank. <br />To be certain that all Applicators take all the <br />necessary action required to succeed in this program, the <br />following specifications have been written. <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE REPAIR OF PETROLEUM SERVICE <br />STATION TANKS BY COATING WITH GLASS ARMOR EPDXY RESINS <br />GENERAL <br />A. In addition to obtaining permits, etc., the Contractor <br />will obtain the approval of the Local Fire Marshal and/or <br />other regulating authorities, where required. <br />B. The scope of the contract covers a turnkey job including, <br />but not limited to, excavation, opening tank, safe <br />removal and disposal of bottom sediment and water, tank <br />surface preparation, coating application, testing, <br />closing tank and finishing of grade to its original <br />surface. <br />C. Bridgeport Chemical's instructions are to be followed in <br />the handling, mixing and application of the resin <br />compounds. <br />D. There will be a Contractor's employee on hand at all <br />times, who understands lead hazard and the fire and <br />explosion potential as he will be responsible for <br />maintaining a safe environment in the work area. <br />Page 2 <br />
