STATE OF CALIFORNIA GEORGE DEUKMEJIAN, Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD—
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 ROUTIER ROAD
SACRAMENTO, CA 95827-3098
11 August 1988
Mr. William R. Stewart
452 W. Lowell
Tracy, CA 95376
III
CONTAMINATED SITE AT 515 WEST 11TH STREET, TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
We received and reviewed your preliminary site investigation
report from your consultant, Geological Techniques. We concur
with your consultant's conclusion that additional monitoring
wells are necessary to define the extent of ground water
contamination at the site.
Enclosed for your reference is a copy of Regional Board reporting
requirements. By reviewing this document you should have a
better idea of what we expect in site reports. As an example,
the report submitted should have included the information for a
Preliminary Report as well as proposed locations for additional
monitoring wells for our concurrence. Since no locations were
proposed we can only remind you that the vertical and lateral
extent of contamination must be adequately defined before a
Problem Assessment Report (PAR) is submitted to this Board and
the San Joaquin Local Health District.
The report requirements are very explicit and represent minimum
requirements. If the submitted report is incomplete, it will not
be reviewed until completed.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731.
Cy
GARY S. JOHNSON
Engineering Geologist
GSJ: gj
Enclosure
cc: ,BMs. Laurie Cotulla, San Joaquin Local Health District,
Stockton
