PURPOSE <br />An inspection was conducted at Interlake, Incorporated, in response to <br />a complaint alleging unlawful storage and disposal of waste oil. <br />II. REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT <br />Steve Mathias, Industrial Engineer, Interlake, Incorporated. <br />Elizabeth Ambacher, Hazardous Materials Specialist, Department of <br />Health Services. <br />Kasey Foley, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Public Health <br />Services of San Joaquin County.' <br />III. OWNER/OPERATOR <br />Operator contact is listed as F. Krikau, 15 Spring Road, Oakbrook, <br />Illinois, 60521. The corporation headquarters is located at the same <br />address in Illinois. The industrial engineer of the 1029 S. <br />Sacramento facility in Lodi is Steve Mathias. <br />IV. BACKGROUND <br />On September 9, 1989, Public Health Services of San Joaquin County <br />(PHS) received an anonymous complaint regarding the storage of 10 <br />barrels of waste oil behind the machine shop. According to the <br />complainant, the barrels leak waste oil into the industrial sewer line <br />when it rains. The complaint was originally reported to Dennis <br />Fields,San Joaquin Co. Office of Emergency Services, who attempted to <br />get the name of the complainant for further information, but was <br />unsuccessful. <br />Dennis Fields referred the complaint to PHS for follow-up. <br />A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
