Lionudakis Firewood, Inc.
2.6 Storm Drain Testing
Ground Zero proposes a low volume flush test of each section of storm drain from the AST
location to the former storm water basin. Approximately 200 -gallons of water will be released at
the head of each storm drain section and recovered at the tail of the section. Water samples will
submitted to a State -certified laboratory and analyzed for DRO, KRO, MORO, and benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEC using EPA Method 8015M. For quality control
purposes one travel blank, provided by the laboratory, will be taken to the field and accompany
the water samples to the laboratory for analysis. Recovered water will be contained in a baker
tank until disposal can be arranged.
If analyzed constituents are detected in the storm drain system each section that indicates
contamination is present will be flushed clean and the water will be disposed of at a State -
licensed disposal facility.
2.7 Reporting
Upon completion of field work and following the receipt of the soil analytical results and soil
disposal manifests, a technical report will be prepared and submitted to Mr. David Iyre and EHD.
The report will describe the methods and results of the investigation, disposition of the
contaminated soil, as well as recommendations as appropriate.
California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (CRWQCB), The
Water Quality Control Plan (Basin Plan), Second Edition, 1991.
Department of Water Resources (DWR), Bulletin No. 146, San Joaquin County Ground Water
Investigation, July 1967.
Norris, R.M. and Webb, R.W., 1990.
