to the methods set forth in article 3 (commencing with section 66261.20) of chapter 11 of this division, or <br />according to an equivalent method approved by the Department under section 66260.21; or (2) applying <br />knowledge of the hazard characteristic of the waste in light of the materials or the processes used. (d) If <br />the waste is determined to be hazardous, the generator shall refer to chapters 14, 15, 18, and 23 of this <br />division for possible exclusions or restrictions pertaining to management of the specific waste. <br />Immediately, take samples of the truck wash liquid and the storm drain run-off and have the sample <br />analyzed for the hazardous waste characteristics according to title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit <br />a copy of the sample analysis to this office. <br />Violation # 12) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />One 15 -gallon drum with red diesel <br />One yellow 5 -gallon bucket with red diesel <br />Two engine blocks with used oil not drained <br />Secondary containment for the used oil storage contained liquid <br />Sand blasting waste not stored properly <br />This is a violation of CCR Section 66262.31: Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the <br />possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non -sudden release of hazardous waste or <br />hazardous waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br />environment. <br />Immediately, begin handling hazardous waste properly to minimize the release of hazardous waste. The <br />secondary containment must be dry at all times. Drain the engine block free of oil to minimize release. <br />All hazardous waste containers must be covered securely. <br />
