• <br />• <br />Violation # 21 Failed to keep containers of hazardous waste closed except when adding/removing <br />hazardous waste. <br />This is a violation of CCR section 66265.173(a) A container holding hazardous waste shall always be <br />closed during transfer and storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br />Begin practice immediately <br />Violation # 61) Failed to determine if hazardous waste tank is leaking or unfit. <br />Facility did not perform tank assessment for hazardous waste storage tank. <br />This is a violation of CCR Section 66265.191(a) For each existing tank system that does not have <br />secondary containment meeting the requirements of section 66265.193, the owner or operator shall <br />determine that the tank system is not leaking or is unfit for use. Except as provided in subsections (c) and <br />(e) of this section, the owner or operator shall obtain and keep on file at the facility a written assessment <br />reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional engineer, registered in California, in <br />accordance with section 66270.11(d), that attests to the tank system's integrity. <br />Hire a consultant to perform the required testing and submit the tank assessment information to this office <br />immediately. Keep a copy on site for record. <br />Violation # 91) Empty hazardous material drums were not marked with the word "empty" and did <br />not contain date it was emptied. <br />The empty drums stacked on top of each other with no label and date it was emptied. <br />
