Galt Road <br /> Thornton, CA 95686 <br /> Review of the letter dated January 7, 1991, faxed to our office <br /> April 9, 1991, and the 1991 First Quarter Monitoring Report for <br /> samples collected March 7, 1991, have been completed. Please <br /> address the following comments in your next quarterly report. <br /> Our office has not received the results from the second round of <br /> sampling confirming the effectiveness of the carbon filtration <br /> system. Please submit analytical results. <br /> All samples collected, soil and water, must be stored at 40C in an <br /> ice chest in the field and during transport under chain of custody. <br /> Please be informed that this office requires 48 hours notice prior <br /> to any site activity including sampling. <br /> Stated in the quarterly report was that local pumping is considered <br /> to be a factor influencing groundwater gradient. The influence of <br /> the extraction well on future groundwater gradient measurements <br /> should also be explored. <br /> Quarterly monitoring should continue pursuant to Section 2652 (d) of <br /> the Underground Storage Tank Regulations (California Code of <br /> Regulations, Title 23, Subchapter 16) . The monitoring report shall <br /> be submitted to Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) until the investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed <br /> adequate. The report is to show the: <br /> -status of investigation, site activities, and cleanup <br /> activities including the results of all investigations <br /> completed to date; <br /> -proposed continuing or next phase of investigation; <br /> -method of cleanup proposed or implemented, schedules for <br /> the completion of the investigation of the site and <br /> remediation; <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
