Our approach described in the following
proposed Scope of Services includes:
+ Continuation of the Quarterly Monitoring Program, with modifications,
• Preparation and negotiation of a Final Remedial Plan.
Several additional work elements would follow these initial tasks, contingent upon regulatory
approval. These efforts would include:
• Installation of a simple groundwater extraction system,
+ Establishment.of a bioremediation cell for the management of soils affected by
petroleum hydrocarbons,
• Installation of a cost-effective treatment system for extracted groundwater.
Following a requisite number of groundwater monitoring events which indicate reduced
concentrations of benzene detected in samples collected from well MW-4, to concentrations
acceptable to PHS/EHD, a Site Closure Report will be prepared, in accordance with RWQCB
guidelines.
BACKGROUND
We have reviewed reports prepared regarding previous soil and groundwater investigations which
have been conducted at this Site. Five underground storage tanks (UST's) were removed from the
Site in February 1987. Reportedly, four tanks had previously contained gasoline; the fifth had
previously contained #6 fuel oil.
Tri Vailcy Grow n SECOR*
N3330P.rp1 - 1 Jwc 1,1995
iF
k
