PHSIEHD has the following comments
for your consideration.
Thank you for providing graphic representation of the remediation system influent analytical results.
Graphic representation of these results will aid in the evaluation of the system's effectiveness.
The request to sample monitoring well MW-3 biannually is granted. However, the request to sarhple
monitoring well MW-6 biannually is denied. As outlined in the PHSIEHD letter dated November 15,
.1991, the proximity of the neighboring domestic well prohibits a reduction in the frequency of sampling
MW-6. Quarterly sampling of MW-1, MW-6 and the remediation influent/effluent should continue.
Biannual sampling of MW-2, MW-3, and MW-5 should be initiated.
% ;
The request to discontinue oil and grease analysis of MW-1 is granted. Oil and grease contamination has
not been detected since June 20, 1990. It may be necessary to include oil and grease analysis in
groundwater confirmation sampling prior to closure.
If you have any questions or to schedule a quarterly site inspection in June, please contact MaryMeays,
REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Of!
C•
uric A.
