i
TASK VII. DISPOSAL OF CUTTINGS AND WASTE WATER
The drilling of the five soil borings will generate approximately
1.3 cubic yards of soil cuttings. This soil will be temporarily
stored on-site with a base and covering of 6 mil visqueen plastic.
A composite soil sample will be collected from the soil pile and
analyzed for concentrations of TPH-G and BTEX using EPA methods
5030 and 8020. If clean, the soil will be spread on the old tank
excavation. If the soil is contaminated the soil will be aerated
on site and retested to determine final deposition.
The waste water generated from the cleaning of augers and sampling
equipment during the drilling operations will be containerized in
55-gallon DOT drums.
