Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject: Ripon Farm Service <br /> 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California ;I <br /> Dear Ms. MeaYs: <br /> In a letter dated July 7, 1994, the San Joaquin Cd, nty 1Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) states that a work <br /> 11. plan should be submitted by <br /> September 19, 1994 "which includes a proposal 1,z) further investigate <br /> igate the extent of soil and <br /> groundwater contamination" at the site. <br /> Quarterly monitoring and sampling was performed by; GeoAudit on August 5, 1994. <br /> GeoAudit is currently preparing a report detailing the proce; dures and results of the <br /> monitoring and sampling. The report is scheduled to bel submitted to the PHS/EHD on <br /> September 26, 1994. <br /> Results.from the gradient and flow directioncalculations.(collected in August indicate that <br /> the gradient direction is now northwest. I.nitially, the gradient was determined to be <br /> southwest (May 1994). Therefore, prior to the installation of additional monitoring wells at <br /> the site, GeoAudit proposes to measure the groundwater" depth h at the'site on a monthly <br /> basis for the next quarter. The additional data will assist in I determining the locations of any <br /> future monitoring wells at the site. <br /> Representatives of Ripon Farm Service are in the process of reviewing State and County <br /> files on the Gemco Truck Stop property, immediately north! of the site. Underground <br /> storage tank information from the Gemco site will be includedin the Quarterly Report to <br /> the PHS/EHD.
