f
Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Sent: Wednesday, February 29, 201.2 11:18 AM
To: 'Amy Terrell'
Subject: FW: Ripon Farm Service
Attachments: RFS well lefters.pdf
3
Good morning Amy,
Last week while I was out of the office, wells were destroyed that were;'associated with the petroleum
hydrocarbon contamination from the underground storage tanks (USTs) at the Ripon Farm Service site located at
932 East Frontage Road, South Highway 99 in Ripon, California. I was reviewing the field notes from the County
inspector who oversaw the well destructions and noticed that MW-5 had not been destroyed. I contacted
Advanced GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (AGE) and received the email below from Bill Little. In the attachment from Bill
was a letter from you dated 28 January 2009 in which you requested that MW-5 and MW-4 be retained for use in
the nitrate investigation. MW-4 was destroyed last week but MW-5 was not. I had not been informed that the
Regional Board wanted to keep MW-4 and MW-5. My question to you,is, since your letter was dated January
2009, do you still want to keep MW-5 for use in the nitrate investigation? This.is the only well associated with the
UST investigation that remains at the site and I don't want this well to be forgotten.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartneyaa sicehd com.
From: William Little [mailto:wlittle@advgeoenv.com] I
Sent., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 10:35 AM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: aterreli@waterboards.ca.gov
Subject: RE: Ripon Farm Service
Vicki McCartney,
My apologies, the site at the RFS nutrient — nitrate study required the well to remain installed.
Please call me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
William R.
