_ r O1 November 2004 AGE-NC Project No. 95-0137 Page 3 of 7 2.4, LABORATORY ANALYSIS Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California DHS-certified laboratory for the following constituents: • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified; • Volatile aromatic hydrocarbons: Benz ne, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) in accordance with EPA Method 802#; and • Oxygenated compounds:di-isopropyl ether(DIPE),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE),methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butanol (TBA), methanol, ethanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB) and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA Method 8260. Selected soil samples may also be analyzed for intrinsic permeability,moisture content,porosity an total organic carbon (TQC) in accordance with the appropriate EPA or ASTM methods. f Laboratory reports of soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report 2.5. GROUND WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS f7�GfY� �d o` Following the installation of the new monitoring wells, ground water monitoring and sampling activities will be conducted for all the monitoring wells on a quarterly basis for a minimum of one year (four sampling events); monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water measurements and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis by a DHS-certified laboratory for the analytes noted above. Ground water sample collection protocols are described in Section 3.4.. Laboratory reports for groundwater analyses,testing methods,laboratory QA/QC reports and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in quarterly reports with findings and recommendations. 2.6. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS Following each ground water monitoring event, a quarterly report will be prepared presenting the findings.Each report will include a description of work performed and the results of the groundwater sampling and analysis.
