(AGE) had prepared a Remedial Action Work Plan Addendum
dated 10 March 2000 to specify corrective action requirements for the above reference site. This
Revised Addendum to the Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP) dated 20 January 2000, was
prepared at your verbal request of 20 March 2000.
The RAWP detailed the design of a soil vapor extraction/in-situ air sparging (SVE/IAS) remediation
system for the petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water at the above referenced site.
1.0. CLEANUP GOALS
Clean up goals to protect the beneficial use of the local ground water should be applied at the RFS
site. A domestic water well is located within the plume of impacted ground water and several other
wells are located within 200 feet to 2,000 feet of the unauthorized release area, therefore, the highest
and best use of the water at the RFS site is for human consumption. Clean up standards for ground
water are set forth in the basin plan for the Central Valley Basin. The standards are based on the
Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) for the constituents of concern in drinking water. The
constituents of concern and the associated MCLs are:
• TPH-d and TPH-g, neither of which have no MCL, however a general odor/taste threshold
of 1 milligram per liter (mg/1) should be suitable for the RFS site.
• Benzene with an MCL of 0.001 mg/l
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1 1 18
