INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Ripon Farm Service (RFS),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this report for ground water monitoring and sampling activities conducted at <br /> ' 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California(the site) <br /> The report documents the sampling activities performed at the site on 22 February 1999, and the <br /> ' results of laboratory analysis of the samples The objective of the work was to monitor ground water <br /> conditions and concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and selected fuel additives in <br /> ground water at the site The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1 <br /> tStructures and monitoring well locations associated with the site are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in the <br /> ' April 1996 Quarterly Report prepared by AGE, dated 20 June 1996 <br /> 20. PROCEDURES <br /> Monitoring and sampling activities were conducted in accordance with both the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> ' On 22 February 1999, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> wells MW-I through MW-8 and soil vapor/air-sparing wells VW-I and VW-2 The relative ground <br /> ' water elevation in each well and the hydraulic gradient were calculated from these data The depths <br /> to ground water are summarized in Table 1 <br /> 1 <br /> All wells were purged a minimum of three well-volumes of ground water using a pre-cleaned, two- <br /> stage submersible pump Monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 were purged of approximately 8 <br /> gallons of water and wells MW-6 through MW-8 were purged of approximately 6 gallons of water <br /> Approximately 10 gallons of water per well were removed from the air sparging wells and 3 gallons <br /> Advanced GeoEnNtronrnental,Inc <br />
