1
' 08 June 2005
i AGE-NC Project No. 95-0137
3.3. GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
Dept s to ground water during the May 2005 monitoring event ranged from 22. ?feet(MW,-S5 to
24.8 'feet (MW_ below the tops of the well casings; the depth to ground water decreased
1 approximately 1.3 feet since the January 2005 quarterly monitoring event. The calculated ground
water elevations ranged from 3 4.6 8 feet(MW-8),1Wto 3 7.7 7 feet(MW-5);which
' was well outside the average ground water elevation calculated.
The ground water flow direction was inferred to be northwest, at a ground water gradient of
' 0. 5 foot/foot(ft/ft)west of well MW-1,down-gradient of the former UST release area(Figure 3).
3.4. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g,TPH-d and BTEX compounds were not detected in the ground water samples from the op-
site wells at Ripon Farm Service . The fuel additive MTBE was detected in monitoring well MW-4
for the first time at a concentration of 25 micrograms per liter(µg11). The fuel additive TAME was
detected in the Jimco off-site ground water MW-8 at a concentration of 6.4 pg/l.-- AISO _pgn64- 0S
liegn,el., rr!•t'110
The lead scavenger 1,2-DCA was'! hitected in the samples from well MW-4, the off-site wells
MW-9 and MW-10 at concentrations of 57 pg/l, 78 µg/l and 73 pg/l, respectively.
P
The analytical results are summarized in Table s_2 andfA copy of the laboratory report (CTEL
Project Number CT214-0505046), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)report, and chain of
custody form are included in Appendix E.
3.5. GEOTRACKER CONFIRMATIONS
Documents confirming the upload of soil and ground water laboratory reports in electronic
deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to GeoTracker are included in
Appendix F.
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected from the site, AGE finds:
• The off-site stratigraphy consisted silt to a depth of 25 feet bsg with fine to medium sands
with silt comprising an semi-confined shallow aquifer. -rhet 41.6 r f t'Yf'"e q'a
1 1
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,laa
