Highway 99,Stockton,CA
Dear Mr.Barton:
Pursuant to your letter dated December 3, 2003, the following summarizes system operation for the period i
ending March 15,2004.
The system operated continuously during the reporting period, but was automatically shut down and re-
started by the fluid level switches due to draw-down in the extraction well. The measured flow gate during
the site visit was 1.45 gallons per minute (gpm). The average flow rate during the reporting period was 1.3
gpni. Approximately 182,425 gallons of groundwater has been treated through the carbon units since the
carbon was replaced on December 1,2003.
I
Samples were collected from C1, C2, and the effluent (EFF) on March 15, 2004 and analyzed for volatile J
organic compounds (VOCs), including oxygenated gasoline additives. No VOCs were detected in the
Samples oollected from Cl, C2, or El~F. Tables 1 and 2, attached, summarize treatment system flow and
analytical data collected to date.
Although we have yet to have breakthrough in the GAC units since the carbon was replaced, we have
initiated the process to add the air stripper to the treatment system. Carr Electric of Stockton is working
with PG&E to install the temporary pole and hook up electricity to the compound_ Please contact John Lane
=at(209)838-9888 if you have any questions regarding this submittal. f
Respectfully,
Ground Zero Analysis,Inc. ,
John P.Lane
CA Registered Geologist No.6795
cc: Mr.Jeffrey Wong, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Mr.Ray Baglietto/Mr.Frank Rauzi I
