J. Hunter & <br /> ASSOCiatee, Registered Geo ogists, ars <br /> is to provide professional geological & geotechnical services as <br /> needed to assist in preparing workplans, conducting field <br /> investigative work, supervising soil sampling, soil borings, <br /> monitoring wells, and other .necessary operations, and preparing <br /> written reports as required by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Services, and/or the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board. <br /> Fees for the above services will be billed according to our <br /> Current rates, as listed on our standard fee schedule. Any <br /> estimated costs that we may furnish, including those of outside <br /> contractors, are not to be considered firm bids . If it is <br /> desired that our firm handle other matters pertaining to this <br /> project, such ae contracting for drilling, sampling, and testing <br /> of soils and fluids, billing for such services will be directly <br /> to you or your designated agent, and not through our firm. <br /> Estimated Costs for such necesaary services will be furnished to <br /> you prior to initiation of the work. We will review invoices <br /> from oututde firms if requested, and forward to our clients for <br /> payment. However, any differences between estimates and aCtual <br /> invoiced amounts are to be resolved between the client and <br /> subcontractors involved. We will not assume responsibility for <br /> the quality and accuracy of the work of such other firms, and <br /> will not be held responsible for payments to such other firms. <br /> Although we will snake every effort to comply with the rules and <br /> regulations promulgated by the appropriate County governmental <br /> agency, and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br /> we cannot guarantee that our work will result in a satisfactory <br /> resolution of the: problem, the elimination of any potential <br /> liabilites, or site closure of the specific project or property <br /> covered by this agreement. Because of the complexity of govern- <br /> ment rules and regulations, and the frequent overlaping of <br /> responsibilities, it is often quite difficult to comply with all <br /> of the reporting requirements at any given time. We will assist <br /> in every way possible, within the limits of our expertise, to <br /> obtain a satisfactory reeol.ution to the problem.
