(Ground Zero) and has the following
comments.
In the Report Ground Zero states that on February 10, 2009, the groundwater extraction
system was shut down due to a depressed water table and malfunctioning extraction pump in
well EX-3. Ground Zero proposes using the down time while the pump is repaired to conduct
a rebound test of the groundwater extraction system. In a phone conversation between
Ground Zero and the EHD it was agreed that the extraction system would stay off until May
2009 when the next routine groundwater monitoring and sampling event will occur. At that
time, all monitoring and sampling activities will be done prior to restarting the system to look
for changes in the groundwater gradient trends and laboratory analytical results. Of specific
interest is the return of reportable concentrations of contaminants in well MW-12, which has
been non-detect since EX-3 was put online with the system.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, REHS Margare agorio, REHS
Registered Environmental Health Specialist Program Coordinator
cc: James Barton, CVRWQCB, 11020 Sun Center Drive #200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Eric Price, Ground Zero Analysis, 1714 Main Street, Escalon CA 95320
