8200 Hwvy 99
Speedy Food Mart
June 16, 2004
Page 4
or to changes in groundwater flow regime. The model should adequately demonstrate all
interpretations and opinions. EHD requests the SCM model be continuously updated in all
future reports.
EHD has been receiving separate reports for the sampling of each domestic well of the
neighboring properties. EHD does not approve submission of separate reports since it is
neither cost-effective nor is the information provided in a manageable manner. EHD
directs you to consolidate all analytical results of domestic well sampling in a simple table
format, and include them as a part of the quarterly sampling report rather than separate
reports in the future.
EHD received the well installation report on May 24, 2004, about 7 months after the
completion of the work. EHD received on June 1, 2004 the 4'`Quarter 2003 Groundwater
Monitoring and Sampling Report dated May 28, 2004, about 6 months after completion of the
fourth quarter sampling event in December 2003. EHD requests all future reports be
submitted in a timely manner. However, since the well installation report actually included a
table with analytical results from the first quarter quarterly report (March 2004), EHD
requests the first and second quarter results be.combined into one report in the interest of
cost saving to the State Cleanup Fund. All future quarterly reports should be submitted to
EHD no more than three months after completion of a quarterly event.
Due to the proximity of the MTBE plume to the north property line (within approximately
100 feet), EHD requests all future reports to include at least one figure that will illustrate in
scale both the monitoring wells on site and the closest private drinking wells immediately
north of the property line.
Please direct any questions to Jeffrey Wong at (209) 468-0335.
Donna Her-an, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Jeffrey Wong, Senior REHS RET
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
Cc: CRWQCB, Central Valley Region—James L.L.
